Film Awarewolf Looking for ActorsThe SF Film Society Fellow Reena Dutt is producing the upcoming film Awarewolf. The shoot is a proof of concept for a feature length film. This is a great way to gain some footage for your reel, network with the team and showcase your skills in a short, quirky and heartwarming story.

Casting Directors are looking to cast actors for the following roles:

GENEVA – [CAUCASIAN OR LATINA WOMAN]30-40, Brunette, stern exterior and kind underneath, great grasp on subtle comedy, desperately yearning for her son to qualify for a national yoga competition, but hides her desperation beneath a confident exterior. If he doesn’t qualify, it’s possible her son will need to live with his father instead. She was an Olympic level athlete about 15 years ago. No union jurisdiction. Both Union and Non-Union may apply. SPICEY – [ALL ETHNICITIES] FEMALE 30-40, Very fit, smart, and oscillating between controlling and knowing she should be open to any opinion, she’s learning to take life less seriously but this is new for her. She runs the Nevada State Yoga Asana Championships. Both Union and Non-Union may apply. San Francisco or Bay Area local-hires only. Copy, credit and meals provided.

PAUL – [ALL ETHNICITIES] MALE 30-40, Very fit and very proud of it. He co-owns a yoga studio with his much more popular wife. He’s shy but believes that if you work hard at yoga, it will help you succeed at anything you set your mind to. He is entering his 10 year old child into the Nevada State Yoga Asana Championships (Geneva doesn’t know this!). Both Union and Non-Union may apply. San Francisco or Bay Area local-hires only. PARKER – [CAUCASIAN OR LATINO BOY] 8-10, Messy brown hair, looks like he’s from the midwest. He’s witty, kind, genuine and loves yoga. He loves his mother with all of his heart and wants her to be happy and worry less. His favorite thing is a werewolf action figure, his other self. No union jurisdiction. Both Union and Non-Union may apply. San Francisco or Bay Area local-hires only. Copy, credit and meals provided.

A failed athlete determined to give her son more opportunity, bends the rules to qualify him in a neighboring state, only to realize her choices might be taking away his innocence. Actors should submit by 10am Saturday 4/16 to yogamoviecasting@gmail.com. You should include your headshot/resume and a link to you demo reel or previous work with every submission. The subject line of the email should read as “Role/ Your First and Last Name)

Auditions are being held as early as Sunday, April 17th so submissions are due by Saturday, April 16th by 10:00am. The shoot dates have not yet been determined. The compensation for this film is copy, credit and meals. The feature film that will follow the proof of concept will be filming in the late summer of this year. This shoot takes place in the San Francisco Bay area so you must be local. Please note on your submissions whether you have yoga or any sports experience.

    I have nerve acted before but I would live to I have no experience. If you would gave me a chance at acting that would be great.
