Season 2 of the PBS television series Mercy Street is casting for men to appear in the series. It is filming in Richmond, Virginia. PBS describes the show as being inspired by real people and events. “Mercy Street goes beyond the front lines of the Civil War and into the chaotic world of the Mansion House Hospital in Union-occupied Alexandria, Virginia. Mercy Street takes viewers beyond the battlefield and into the lives of Americans on the Civil War home front as they face the unprecedented challenges of one of the most turbulent times in our nation’s history”.
Casting directors are looking for guys between the ages of 18-35 with shaggier hair, facial hair is great too but not too “clean cut.” These are guys that have been out fighting and have been in hiding, so their hair is a little longer than average. (But not past their shoulders.) They need men who are available, not just for one or two days. Candidates need to have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule. These scenes will shoot in Petersburg and Richmond. Rate is $64/8 for non-union guys.
