Selena Gomez along with her mother are producing a new series for Netflix. The show, “13 Reasons Why”, is now casting all ages including young adults for several different background roles in the series. They are currently seeking actors who are near the San Francisco, California area.
According to Variety, 13 Reasons Why “follows a boy named Clay through an emotional night when he receives a shoe box of cassette tapes from his late classmate and crush Hannah, after she recently committed suicide. On the tapes, which are mailed with instructions to pass along from one student to another, Hannah explains to 12 peers how they each played a role in her death, by giving 13 reasons explaining why she took her life”.
Casting directors are seeking men and women to be background extras in the show. They are looking for all types, all ethnicities and all ages. The casting team is especially seeking and have an immediate need for those who are ages 18 to 25 years old. These are all paid roles for the Netflix original series. 13 Reasons Why will be filming in San Rafael, CA, Vallejo and CA & Sebastopol, CA. The previously held open casting calls for types that included high school students, basketball players, cheerleaders, parents and more.
