AMC TV Show “The Son” Looking for ActorsAMC is getting ready to film the new series, “The Son” and casting directors are holding open call auditions for the show!  Brock Allen Casting is looking for Native American men and women who are ages 18 and up to play Comanche Indians in the new show.  Deadline reports that The Son is based on the book by Philipp Meyer and written by Meyer, Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy.

The Son is a multi-generational epic tale of the story of America’s birth as a superpower through the bloody rise and fall of one Texas family. The show stars Sam Neill (Peaky Blinders) Henry Garrett (Poldark), Zahn McClarnon (Fargo), Paola Nunez (Reina de corazones), and Sydney Lucas (Fun Home).  Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 22nd from 1pm to 6pm at the Best Western Plus located at 2200 S IH-35 in Austin, Texas 78704.

The casting call states “The series attempts to provide both the white and Comanche perspectives on these historical events without taking sides one way or the other.  The goal is to tell the story truthfully and allow the audience to draw on its own conclusions”.  It goes on to say “ Its AMC’s intention to relentlessly avoid stereotypes.  This is a show with no”white savior”.   The important figures in the tribe are all Comanche; the white character is a mere witness to events”.  If you cannot attend the open casting call, you can email your headshot to and  If you fit the criteria, you are encouraged to attend the auditions!
