The Fantasy Theatre Factory is casting for Male and Female Energetic Actors, African American 18-30 years old for FTF’s show “American Stories”. The company requires actors have strong comedic skills. Fantasy Theatre Factory (FTF) is a non for profit State of Florida touring Arts-in-Education theatre and special events company. The company was established in 1978 and incorporated in 1982, FTF is a Miami based company that tours its programs locally, state-wide and internationally.
Each year they produce over 350 programs which reach over 125,000 people all across South Florida and the entire state through the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs’ Arts on Tour program.
Rehearsal will take place in 4 hours block during the day time hours between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The show will run from January 8th, 2016 through March 13th, 2016. Auditions are being held on November 30th between 2 and 5pm by appointment only.
All auditions will be given a specific time within this window. This means that even though you have the audition location, you must contact the casting director to schedule an appointment before attending. The auditions will be held at Fantasy Theatre Factory Rehearsal Studio 4528 SW 71st Avenue, Miami, FL 33155. There will be callbacks held (meaning if they like your first audition, they will ask you to come back for a second audition) but the dates are still to be determined.
After you have your scheduled audition you need to get prepared. The casting director asks you bring two hard copies of recent headshots with two updated resumes. Be sure to wear clothing that you feel comfortable moving in. You should have one comedic monologue memorized and it shouldn’t be longer than one minute. Also, be prepared to cold read from FTF scripts and demonstrate your Comedic and Physical abilities.
