Auditions for Salem – WGN
WGN has officially thrown it’s hat into the original programming cable ring with the critically acclaimed Salem and now new episodes and new chances to be in them are coming. Auditions for roles in this chilling drama series are set to begin soon and submissions from performers of all types are being accepted today.
Salem is set in the dark and frightening time of 17th century Massachusetts, where Puritan leaders ran roughshod over the citizens and held numerous witch trials to try and rid the area of supernatural spirits. With each episode the town is thrown further and further into despair as more and more questions are raised about the “evil” people that surround them and whether those in charge are the real threats.
WGN’s Salem features an ensemble cast that showcases the magnificent talents of Janet Montgomery (Black Swan, 10 Things I Hate About Life, Our Idiot Brother), Shane West (ER, Nikita, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Tamzin Merchant (The Tudors, My Family and Other Animals, Jane Eyre), Ashley Madekwe (Revenge, How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, Teachers), Seth Gabel (Nip/Tuck, The Da Vinci Code, Arrow), Elise Eberle (The Astronaut Farmer, As Cool as I Am, Chasing the Devil) and Iddo Goldberg (Tut, Peaky Blinders, I Could Never Be Your Woman). This knock out production was created by the duo of Adam Simon (The Haunting in Connecticut, Brain Dead, Lock Up) and Brannon Braga (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, 24).
Auditions for all new episodes of the WGN sensation Salem are taking place now and will be held throughout thee season’s shooting.
