
Auditions For School of Rock – Nickelodeon
Comedy superstar Jack Black burst onto the worldwide stage with the wildly successful 2003 movie School of Rock and now the creators of that film have revived the musical comedy gem for Nickelodeon. School of Rock the TV series is here and so are a number of amazing casting opportunities for actors, singers, dancers and entertainers of all kinds.
Nickelodeon’s School of Rock will take the story from the film and expand it into a weekly singing and dancing comedy spectacular. After struggling rocker Dewey Finn is gets kicked out of his band he poses as his roommate to land a substitute teaching gig at a prestigious prep school. He quickly sees his new position as a way to teach these kids about the joys of rock music and
how to tap into their creative abilities while maybe scoring himself a new band in the process. The cast will feature the multi-talented Tony Cavalero (Ben and Kate, Modern Family, K.C. Undercover) alongside a host of rising talents. This fabulous musical/comedy hybrid series was created by Jim and Steve Armogida (Grounded for Life) and is produced by the director of the feature film Richard Linklater (Bad News Bears, Boyhood, Dazed and Confused) and the film’s producer Scott Rudin (Fantastic Mr. Fox, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Addams Family).
