There is a new feature film seeking extras. The upcoming movie “Permanent” is now casting background extras. The film is set in 1983 and is in a small southern town where all the female teenagers with straight hair want to be Farrah Fawcett. A 13-year-old girl, with a hideous new perm, must navigate life at a new school in this coming-of-age comedy. The movie was written and is being directed by Colette Burson (Hung). The movie is filming in Richmond, Virginia.
Kendall Cooper is seeking teenagers ages 12-14 to play Junior High students. They are looking for all shapes, sizes and styles. They are also looking for men and women of all ages to portray parents teachers, townsfolk, beauty salon stylists and college students. They are also seeking experienced swimmers, divers and those with various levels of karate experience. The casting team is specifically looking for interesting character faces, body types and funky 80’s hair-styles. If you have an American car from the years 1969 – 1981, they want to use it! They are looking for local SAG talent as well as non-union men and women. This is a SAG Low-Budget feature film. All background must be willing to work as a local hire.
