Short Film Barking Brave Looking for GirlsThe best way to get your child some experience and footage to start their reel is a short film.  You have a much better chance of landing a leading role in a short film than a big budget feature film that has hundreds or even thousands of actors vying for a role. The film Barking Brave is a new comedy/drama that is holding audition in Denver, Colorado. A group for the Boulder Film Incubator is producing the no budget film. In this short film (Mary) a six year old girl sees her friends playing out front and opens her bedroom door to run out and play. Instead she finds a vicious looking dog staring back at her.

Mary goes through a series of attempts to face and pass the dog to get to her friends playing out front.  Casting directors will be auditioning for the main character, a six year old girl, facing her fear of dogs. We are looking for an expressive actress between the ages of five and seven. The script requires the actress to do a cartwheel or somersault and have some interaction with a dog.

The audition date is on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a location TBD. The rehearsal date is April 23rd and filming is on April 30 and May 1.
