So You Think You Can Dance Open Call Audition For KidsThe hit Fox TV show “So You Think You Can Dance” is back and this time with a pint size audition. That’s right, they are out to find talented kids for this season of the show. According to Fox, they have renewed the Emmy Award-winning show for a 13th season that will feature a younger generation of dancers. This season, dancers between the ages of 8-13, who are skilled in various dance styles, such as contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation or breaking, will be paired up with All-Stars to compete for the title of America’s Favorite Dancer. While the ages of the dancers have changed, Dance will feature returning host Cat Deeley and returning judges Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo. –

So You Think You Can Dance Next Generation auditions will be held in New York City on Friday, March 18 Broadway Dance Center at 12:00 PM. The address for the auditions is 322 West 45th Street New York, NY 10036. All kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to be able to audition for the show. Auditioners traveling to cities for the open calls should make arrangements to stay for at least two days following their initial auditions in the event of a callback.

Dancers either must be U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents of the U.S. or possess current legal Employment Authorization Cards enabling them to seek employment freely in the U.S. (i.e., without restrictions as to employer) by the date specified in the eligibility rules. Dancers must be 8-13 years old to audition. Dancers must be no younger than 9 as of April 1, 2016 or older than 13 years of age on the first day they register for auditions. Dancers must also have a parent and/or legal guardian accompany them to the audition and any callbacks and sign all required documents.
